NYC requires a special license, and Uber can help you get it
Uber in NYC has fantastic earning opportunities and offers you complete control over your time and your schedule. Unlike in other cities though, to drive with Uber in NYC you need a special license from the TLC (Taxi and Limousine Commission). Our goal is to help you get licensed and get a vehicle as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
Start today and Uber will help you every step of the way. The whole process should take 4-6 weeks. Once you're driving, you'll be able to set your own schedule, drive when you want to, and have complete control over your hours. Uber offers an unparalleled balance of earnings and flexibility.

*These offers are for new driver-partners only who are first activated January 1, 2017 or after, had not yet completed a first trip in NYC before January 1, 2017, and take a first trip by January 31, 2017. New driver-partners driving green cab are not eligible for these offers.
To receive the $500 new driver reward, you must complete 40 trips originating in NYC (with NYC defined as the five boroughs of New York City) with 40 unique riders within 7 days of your first activation time.
To receive $6,000 in guaranteed earnings ($1,500/week for 4 weeks), for each of your first four weeks with Uber, beginning Monday 4AM after your activation date, complete 65 trips originating in NYC with 65 unique riders, with 25 of those trips originating in Manhattan below 110th St during peak hours. Peak hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-10AM, 5-7PM; Sat-Sun 12AM-3AM, 10AM-5PM. Driver destination trips do not count toward the required trips. Repeat trips with the same riders will not be counted toward your completed trips for the guarantee. Qualification parameters reset at the beginning of each new weekly incentive period. Guaranteed amounts are weekly net fares. Net earnings are net of Uber service fee, Black Car Fund, and sales tax.
To be eligible for a free car rental your first two weeks with Uber, you must rent a car from a participating NYC dealer (see t.uber.com/rentnyc) and must have not yet taken a first trip in NYC prior to vehicle delivery. To qualify for the free rental ($415/week incentive), complete at least 65 trips originating in NYC with 65 unique riders each week. Driver destination trips do not count toward the required trips. Repeat trips with the same riders will not be counted toward your completed trips for the offer. If you complete your first trip Monday-Wednesday, your first week begins upon first trip and you have until the next Monday 4AM to meet requirements for week 1. If you complete your first trip Thursday through Sunday, your first week begins the following Monday 4AM. $0/week calculations are based on rental cost of $415/week or below for uberX rental vehicles at participating dealers, excluding 2015/2016 mid-size sedan rentals from Buggy. If you elect to rent a vehicle costing over $415/week, you will be responsible for any cost over $415. You will get a $415 reward on your payment statement after fulfilling the requirements. Disclosures: Financing available through participating NYC dealers. Uber does not provide financing. NYC partners must have an active TLC license. To qualify for this program, you must sign a “payment deduction authorization agreement” with Uber under which you agree to make your weekly vehicle payment pursuant to the terms of that agreement. If you have good credit and still want a discount on a new car visit help.uber.com for a list of participating dealers. Please consult participating dealers for more information on pricing and terms. A deposit is not required for rentals to eligible Uber partners. Rental returns typically require two weeks' notice per the terms of the participating dealer.
We reserve the right to withhold or deduct payments that we determine or believe were in error, fraudulent, illegal, or in violation of driver terms or these terms. Sign-on reward, guarantee and rental offer available for limited time only. Terms subject to change.
